Outreach Recap
Last weekend, New City had three outreach events in three days. We believe that we exist for those that are outside the church, and so we should love and pursue the people in our city.
Saturday evening, we helped host a community cook-out at an apartment complex. We had a great time getting to know people and eating together. There were about 40 adults in attendance.
Sunday after church, 10+ people from New City went down to the beach to pass out water bottles, do spiritual surveys and engage in spiritual conversations. We talked to dozens of people, learned about the spiritual beliefs of many, and shared the Good News of forgiveness with several beach-goers. It was a great success!
Monday evening, we went to Arts Park for our monthly Bible Study. We ate together with our friends who regularly attend, then studied God's Word together.
Three outreach events in three days was a lot. But I'm so thankful that people stepped up to reach out with the love of Jesus.
